Downsizing your life
First Garden Harvest

Yesterday I had a small harvest of Contender snap beans or green beans as some know them.

Some were small and thin as you can tell from the photo.

Though some were thick and long. These are about the average length between 6”  &  6 1/2” long.

The taste left me a bit disappointed when I took a sample bite ,raw from one of the tips. So I boiled them in a pan of water and taste was mediocre at best. Off to the spice rack I went and collected organic seas salt, fresh organic basil, and minced organic garlic. Added the 3 ingredients to the pot, let simmer for 15 minutes on low heat.

Taste was improved dramatically!

It seems this variety of bean benefits from seasoning as compared to non-seasoning.  While taste is nothing to scream about, this variety of bean is productive and early with good yields from the harvest.

I’d recommend this variety for dishes that call for snap beans/green beans.
