Two lots of Tar Heel Green Beans.
One dated 2006 and the other dated 2009.
From the reading about these beans they are an old heirloom. How old this particular variety is, is not known. We do know they came from North Carolina to Washington around the 1800’s. The family who moved from N.C. To Washington distributed these beans to a few people as it appears.
Oss Bank will grow these beans in the coming season. I feel that these beans are a huge asset to the bank and will be diligently stock piling seeds for future distribution to members, and to any who request a few to grow.
As more information becomes available on this variety of bean, I’ll post more about it.
